Insurance Providers & Direct Billing
Many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for services delivered by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). This page outlines how insurance, direct billing, and third-party programs work in my practice.

If you ever have questions about coverage or billing, you are always welcome to reach out for clarification.
Private Insurance Coverage
Most extended health insurance plans include coverage for services provided by a Registered Social Worker. Coverage varies by provider and by individual plan.

Clients are responsible for confirming:
• Whether social work services are covered
• The percentage reimbursed
• Annual or per-session limits
• Whether a referral is required

Receipts are provided after each session for insurance reimbursement when applicable.

Direct Billing
Direct billing is available with most private insurance companies where supported.

When direct billing is used:
• Your insurer is billed directly for the covered portion
• You remain responsible for any amount not covered by your plan
• A valid credit card must still be kept on file for outstanding balances, late cancellations, or missed appointments

You can view the full list of insurance providers we are able to bill directly here:

Important Notes
• Insurance coverage is a contract between you and your provider
• Coverage amounts, session limits, and eligible services vary
• Late cancellation and missed appointment fees are not covered by insurance or third-party programs
• You are responsible for confirming your own coverage details
